Privacy Policy

Last updated July 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Kaselton ("Kaselton," "we," "us") collects when you visit our website or use our exam-prep service, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to kaselton.com and the Kaselton application.

Information we collect

Information you provide: your name and email address, account credentials, your exam date and topic self-assessment, and your study activity (questions answered, answers selected, scores, topics, and progress).

Payment information: when you buy Kaselton, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your purchase and limited billing details, but we never receive or store your full card number, which Stripe handles directly.

Information from sign-in providers: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google to create and access your account.

Information collected automatically: when you use the site we and our providers automatically collect device and usage data such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and interactions, using cookies and similar technologies (see below).

Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: essential cookies that keep you signed in and secure the site; analytics that help us understand how the site is used; and advertising and measurement technologies described in the next section. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may break sign-in.

Advertising and measurement

We advertise Kaselton on third-party platforms and measure how those ads perform. To do this we use advertising and analytics technologies from partners including Meta (Facebook and Instagram) via the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API, and Google (Google Ads and related services). We may add other advertising partners such as TikTok or Microsoft over time.

These tools tell us when a visit, sign-up, or purchase resulted from an ad, and let us show relevant ads and build audiences (including "custom" and "lookalike" audiences) and re-engage past visitors. To do this, we and these platforms may share limited information such as a hashed (obscured) version of your email, your IP address, a device or cookie identifier, and the actions you took (for example, viewing the pricing page or completing a purchase). We do not send these partners your study answers or your exam content.

These advertising partners are independent companies that use the data they receive under their own privacy policies. Depending on your state, sharing information with advertising partners in this way may be considered "sharing" or a "sale" of personal information. See "Your choices and rights" below to opt out.

How we use your information

To create and run your account; to deliver the question bank, generate AI explanations and study plans, and track your progress and weak areas; to process payments and send receipts; to send study reminders and service messages; to advertise and measure the performance of our marketing; to secure the service and prevent fraud or abuse; and to comply with law.

Who we share it with

We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf to run Kaselton: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and authentication), Anthropic (AI explanations and study plans), Resend (email delivery), Vercel (hosting and infrastructure), and Google (sign-in). We also share limited information with the advertising partners described above. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public. We do not sell your study data, and we never sell your data for others to market their own unrelated products.

Your choices and rights

You can access, correct, or delete your account and study data at any time by emailing us or using the delete option in your account settings.

Advertising opt-outs: you can adjust ad personalization in your Meta ad settings and Google ad settings, and opt out of many partners at once through the DAA and NAI tools. Many browsers also support a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honor as an opt-out of ad "sharing" where required.

State privacy rights: depending on where you live (for example, California and Florida residents), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and study data for as long as your account exists, including after a purchase cycle ends, so your history is waiting for you if you return for another attempt. You can ask us to delete it at any time, and we will do so except where we are required to retain limited records (for example, payment and tax records).

Data security and storage

We use reputable providers and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Your data is processed and stored in the United States.

Children

Kaselton is intended for adults preparing for a professional license and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and our practices change. We will revise the date at the top, and material changes will be reflected here.
